This 4 post Collegiate Half Rack is the Atlas of power rack configurations and a throwback to the good ol’ days of varsity sports, those ancient times, back when you felt like you could carry the world on your shoulders and not feel sore for the next week. Like your pre-training warm-up, grabbing a few sets of plate pegs for the rear uprights is optional… buuuut it does make for easy-peasy access to all of your weight plates, and you’ll probably regret skipping it. The front foot extensions offer extra stability, allow you to do band work from the outer uprights, and offer 2 barbell storage slots. And if you’re vertically gifted, you’ll LOVE having the pull-up bar mounted on those posts.
